Things to Know About Edison Middle School

Since 1971, Edison Middle School has served the south side of Janesville, Wisconsin, a town of approximately 60,000 residents, located on the banks of the Rock River. Situated between Madison, Wisconsin and Rockford, Illinois, Janesville is a large industrial based, suburban city.

All activities and experiences at Edison flow from its mission statement. Edison’s mission statement was the result of one year of collaboration between administration, teaching staff, parents, students, and community. Guiding all learning and teaching at Edison, the mission statement reads as follows:

We, the Edison Community, believe all students can be successful. Therefore, we hold high expectations for safety, learning, core values, and community involvement.
